Hi, I've recently purchased a Pentax K-5 and loving it. I'm shooting with my camera nearly everyday and I'm looking forward to posting some of my pictures on the forum when I've produced something that is worthy enough! I'm just playing around with it at the moment and trying out different settings. I much prefer to use the camera in manual mode as I love the ability to set it up for what I'm shooting. I love taking landscape images, street images and some astrophotography too.

Well one of the many reasons I chose the K-5 is all the old legacy lenses I could use. As soon as I ordered it I researched some lenses, with the help of this forum I might add, and bought the Vivitar 28mm F2.8 close focus lens, a Pentax-m 50mm F1.7 lens and for mainly astrophotography a Sigma 400mm F5.6 lens, I bought my camera with the 18-55mm kit lens and the 50-200mm lens too and are both weather resistant. I love shooting the moon so I've got my hands on a Vivitar 2x teleconverter, I know it reduces the amount of light coming through to the sensor, but seeing as the moon is such a bright object I'm not too worried about this. I'll put some sample images on when I get the chance. The weather is absolutely crap here at the moment.
