My name is Laurence, and I'm a multimedia artist out of Connecticut USA.

I bought my Pentax K-x after much research on the entry level DSLRs that were available at the time (2009)
What sold me was the ability to use all the old manual focus K mount lenses made in the last 30+ years, including the 2 lenses
I already owned with the pentax K1000 I had from school.

I've built up a good set of manual focus primes, a zoom, and a couple macros. Now I'm saving for the faster primes and auto zooms
like the Rokinons, Tamrons, and Sigmas. I finally registered on the forum in order to chase after a macro lens I found in the marketplace.

I'm planning to upgrade in a year to the K5.

Bonjour,

Welcome aboard ... the K-5 is great and I use a lot of K-mount and M42 legacy glass with it ... lots of fun!

Enjoy PF and post questions and/or photos often ... we're pretty nice people overall!
