I'm a Pentax Kx owner and a complete amature when it comes to photography. The Kx was actually a gift for my wife which she never used. So I decided to take up the DSLR baton. That said, I've always liked taking pics and recording places I've been. I opened a Flickr pro account a few months ago to share some of things I've shot before and to share some current stuff. I like the Kx as a camera but I have a huge knowledge deficit when it comes to optimizing what I can get from it. I know this because my Sony Cyber shot produces results as good if not better at times.

So I'm looking forward to what I can learn from these forums

I just joined a little while back myself, but so far I've found everyone extremely helpful. So far they've: helped me pick out my next two lenses, given me more confidence to shoot on an old dSLR, and given me a few great techniques for modifying both cameras and lenses. Crazy, right? There's something for everyone here, so don't hesitate to ask if you have a question!
