Hey

I'm new to the forums. I guess i should start with what equipment I have.
My DSLR is a K10D, and my 35mm is a KM
Lenses: Pentax-F Zoom 35-70mm1:3.5-4.5, Sigma ZOOM 28-80mm 1:3.5-5.6 II Macro, Dad broke my old lens for my KM, and i'm looking for a WR 18-55

Also, i'm thinking about upgrading my 35mm, is it worth it to be picky and get the *ist? It has the same control layout, so it would be nice. But is it better to just get a more common older model?

Welcome to the forum. If your KM is still working, it is a classic little film camera that is great to keep shooting with. If I didn't understand your post correctly, and you're looking for a replacement for the KM, I wouldn't look further than an ME Super or even K1000 for a fully manual camera. I'd be more inclined to invest more into a good lens, like a Pentax M 50mm f/1.7 or M 40/2.8 to make the most of your film cameras.

Yeah, the KM works fine. I just need to replace the seal above the mirror, but it still works. I just don't use it because my dad broke my lens. The reason Iwant to replace it is so I can use the same lenses. My current lenses won't work on the KM, so I figure it's time to retire it. I really want an *ist so the controls are familiar between my two cameras. But it would be nice to have an MZ-S too if I could afford it.
