K-30 and first post

Hi everyone. I've been using my K-10D for years now (since '07).
Is the K-30 a good replacement for the very old K-10D, or will the upcoming "flagship" be a better replacement for the K-10D? Hmm....
Any thoughts, thanks?!

The K30 will be awesome as a replacement, and since the "Flagship(s)" have not been announced yet, if one of them is better, then the K30 as a newish model will be able to be sold easily. BUY IT (K30) if you have the money!

Maybe I overlooked it... but the K 30 will have built in HDR and support screw drive lenses?

Welcome to the forum.
The K30 is a highly specced camera and will certainly be a very good K10D successor. You just won't know what Pentax will release next, so you can be satisfied with what the K30 or K-5 can deliver, or you hedge your bets waiting for the next flagship to be announced...

From the specs it seems to be just a cheaper k5 with a plastic body. Quite a nice idea.
