My first click

I guess I'm just plain stupid. But I can't figure out the difference of a thread or a post, and don't how to send a msg, particulately if with a photo. I've read everything I can find, but you guys don't speak plain English. I have no idea where this msg (thread or post) will go, or where I should go, to execute a "thread" or a "post".

Soyez le bienvenu ...

Bonjour and welcome to PF ....

Don't worry, do like I did ... lots a trial and error.

Everyone's pretty friendly here, so think that you are with friends and relax.

Salut, John le Frog

Thank you. I will continue trying to solve the mysteries like what's the difference in a rhread and a post. If I did it right I'm attaching that "famous" first click.
