K-5

Hi Joshua
Welcome to Pentax Forums.
Hope you don't mind the question:
Did you buy here in NZ and if so, would you recommend the supplier?
I'm looking to buy a K-5 so would appreciate it if you could recommend a dealer.
Kind regards,
Mark

Hello Joshua! M and I and an absolutely wonderful visit to NZ on a botanical guided tour. Saw Christchurch Cathedral just a few weeks before the steeple was toppled by that second quake. My heart goes out to all the good people of NZ for the losses from that event.

Hi Joshua, welcome to the Forum and also to the K-5 club. You will find it is a fantastic camera.

Most of the kiwis on the forum use this thread https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/gatherings-photo-trips-groups/41021-kiwi-pentaxians-182.html for communicating, so feel free to come over there.

Enjoy your time here

Mark - I got my K-5 from Simfu back in March for a bit less than what Joshua paid. Depends whether you want to parallel import or not. Expert Infotech also have K-5s.

If you check out https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/gatherings-photo-trips-groups/41021-kiwi-pentaxians-182.html you will find some discussions there on sources of gear in NZ - maybe in the last 10-20 pages there was a good discussion.

Welcome Joshua.

Lunar eclipse not looking too promising tonight and judging by the TV1 weather, I may have to wait until I'm 164 to get the next transit of Venus.
