Hello from Ohio

Hi all, I'm Bradley. I shoot a K-5.

I also recently parted with a K200D (to family, whew), same with a K-01. I'm into Micro Four Thirds and film, too. Shot my first roll of 120 (Provia) on my Kiev 60 yesterday. Don't tell anyone, but I have a Canon T3i that mostly sits unused.

Too many lenses to list. 95% are manual K and M42. Pentax, Meyer/Pentacon, Zeiss, Yashica, Fuji, and various Russian/Soviet makes. A couple Ricoh, and a few Olympus OM.

I make photos of anything and everything.

Been lurking here for awhile. Perhaps it's time to change that, as time permits.

Welcome to the forums, it sounds like you'll fit right in. Why did you part with the K-01 though? Seems like it would have been perfect for all your legacy glass. I am a huge fan of focus peaking.

This year has been slow for photo making, but here are a few.

This one is close to where I live. Made with a Voigtlander Color-Skopar X 1:2.8/50 mounted on my K-5 with DKL-M42 and M42-K adapters. ISO 80, 1/200 sec, approximately f/5.6-8:

Here's another close to me. Made with an Asahi-Kogaku Takumar 1:2.4 f=58mm mounted on my K-5 with M37-M42 and M42-K adapters. ISO 200, 1/125 sec, f/5.6. Dark skies approaching:

Reprocessed, split tone:

The obligatory moon portrait. Jupiter-21M 4/200 (export) with Tamron-F 1.4X Pz-AF MC4 tele-converter. K-5, M42-K adapter. ISO 2000, 1/160 sec, f/5.6. Through a tree in our courtyard:

Lastly, beautiful organ and architecture at a church in Bath, Ohio. They hold an art festival each year called Epiphany. SMC Pentax-A 1:2.8 24mm on K-5. ISO 400, 1/40 sec, f/3.2:

Cheers.

kenafein, I parted with the K-01 because I originally purchased it for a video project that didn't materialize. If I didn't have a K-5 I might have kept it. When it really came down to it, the < 1 second burst mode when shooting RAW made the K-01 mostly a video camera in my eyes (and a great one at that). Made good photos, however the performance just wasn't up to par with what I'm accustomed to.

Fully agree, focus peaking is *awesome*; not sure Pentax's reasoning behind not incorporating it for video mode on the K-30. Here's hoping for a full-frame Pentax digital with full peaking support!
