I recently came across a K110D and I am hoping that I will be able to learn some things from you guys. My photography experiences doesn't extend much past a few point and shoot cameras and my cell phone. Any photography related tips and trick are appreciated. I have also been wondering what the differences are between Pentax brand lenses and off brand lenses. Is it quality, fit and finish, or function? Thanks.

There are lots of differences. Sometimes, Pentax lenses are better, while at other times, third party ones are (such as Sigma or Tamron lenses). I recommend that you check out our lens database and in-depth reviews on the homepage to learn more about what's out there.

Homer169 - I had a Pentax K110D in 2006 that I sold in 2007. I've always regretted selling it! The K110D is a very capable DSLR, and I'm sure you'll enjoy using it. I got some very good results with mine.
