Just flew in from M43......

....and boy, are my arms tired!
I'm not a new Pentax user. My 9 year old daughter is running my k200d while I've been playing the field. Out with the GH2, in with the K5 (before they cease production). My mainstay has been a V1 of late. (Can't figure out all the hate.) Plan on holding the K5 for a long time. I've bounced around quite a bit and have grown a little tired of changing horses. It isn't a matter of getting the latest and greatest, it has been a matter of narrowing down what I want to do with this pursuit.
So, hello all! Stop by my Flickr page. I'll be here all week........You're beautiful......... Try the veal!

Yeah, the canon forum, the M43 forum, the V1 subforum, and now here. Permanent new guy, even when I'm not. What the heck. I have noticed a distinctly higher picture quality ( non-technically speaking) from Pentax shooters. Nicer sort of forum people- not as......negative, Let's call it that. And this site! Have you seen this thing? VERY nice.

Thanks for the welcome, eaglem. Once I'm up and running with the K5, I hope to participate a bit more than the odd shot.

Hopefully the K5 is a little more logically laid out (especially menu set) than the K200d. I'll make it work anyway. I intimidate machines into functional readiness almost daily. Showing of the large frontal lobe and dexterous set of fingers rights them with nary a test light nor wrench applied. It's a gift.

Except for the K200d-----which I foisted on my 9 year old daughter.......and she frequently outshoots me. She's prettier, too. Stinker.

Welcome. Hope your K5 treats you well for a long time to come. It truly is the first digital camera I have owned where I don't feel a strong urge to upgrade after using it for a year or two.

I'll tell you Rondec, that's certainly what I hope for. I buy my cars with a 20 year ownership horizon. It kills me to have a revolving door in camera land. I'd surely like to keep the K5 and V1. The V1 is the first camera I would immediately and unquestioningly replace. I'd like that confidence with K5.
