Howdy!

Hey everyone,

I'm a long-time K10d owner who finally purchased a K-5. While the wallet's open, I'm thinking of replacing my old 18-55mm kit lens with either a Tamron17-50 or a Pentax 16-45. All the comments about Tamron build quality have me a little worried - I'd rather choose a solid, consistent lens than worry about returning a copy (or two). My other kit includes the 50-200mm kit lens, an 8mm Samyang, the f1.4 50mm, and a random old 28-105mm PZ.

I'd appreciate any comments if the 18-55mm the weakest link and where I should focus. I have two (incredibly hyper) small children, so they account for 80%+ of my photos. The rest is mostly travel-related, so the Pentax/Tamron 18-250 is also a thought.

thanks!
Dave
