The K-r can operate by itself

When I got my K-r a few months ago I eagerly unpacked, loaded the battery, and took it to my backyard -- pointed in the general direction and did nothing else, didn't focus, just clicked. When I reviewed the result I was amazed. It was so good that I see it now everyday as the frontispiece for my computer.

Wrong photo again. I've lost the intended one. If found will send later.

Old phto

It was a mistake when I entered the photo of my church. I intended to send a different one of the first click, no adjustments, made by my new Pentax-r. This one was an old (40 years ago) B&W with my adaptation. I remember how I did the sky background, but I don't remember what I did to cause the soft glow along the roof top. Any ideas?
