I'm a newbie here, but I've been a Pentax shooter for years. I guess with all the Nikanon folks around, we need a place to call our own.
I've got a K2000, and am eagerly looking forward to the K-30, although I'm actually deciding between the K-30 itself or the now-cheaper K-5. But I'm leaning toward the K-30 because of its improved AF and focus peaking, since sharpness of focus has been one of my problems.
I started with the two kit lenses (the 18-55 and the 50-200). But after I got my first prime (a Sigma 30mm f/1.4), it puts those zooms to shame, particularly the 50-200 which I really dislike.
Aside from the dSLR, I've also got a WG-01. I need something for adventure, and I don't want to bring the dSLR on the mountain bike, or in the water.
Welcome to the forum. If your focus issues are sharpness related both the K5 and K30 have fine tune ability, but the K5 allows you to save more individual lenses AFAIK. Picked up a K30 on friday at a shop it does seem pretty nice, though i still prefer the k5/k7 body, the K30 is lighter though which would be nice some times
