Hello from Austin, Texas.

I am a new Pentax user having just acquired a Spotmatic II where everything works except the self-timer. To use with it I have 3 lenses, a SMC 50 1.4, a 135 3.5, and what I believe to be an 8 element Super Takumar 50 1.4 . I hope to soon acquire a DSLR with 1080HD video so that I can use these lenses with an adapter.

I have been working my way through the beautiful pictures at the Takumar Club. It has been my inspiration to try out Pentax screw mount.

Welcome aboard! Adapting those lenses onto a DSLR won't be a problem- just be sure to get the flange-less adapter (otherwise you won't be able to focus to infinity). More details can be found in our m42 lens guide in the article section.

Where can I get a flangeless adaptor to a Canon DSLR. I have only been able to find flanged ones.
