Hello,

I'm a long time lurker and on-again, off-again Pentax owner. The forums are great.

I am seriously thinking of purchasing either a K-5 or K-30 (possibly the deal from Singapore) for a photo event coming up in a few weeks, and am running out of time.

I'm familiar with a K-5, but would really like to get my hands on a K-30. Having a hard time deciding which is the better camera, at $700 for a K-30, or $800 for a K-5.

Can't seem to find a K-30 at a store anywhere! Perhaps a forum member has a K-30 I could see? I'm in the South San Francisco Bay area, and could meet at a public place (Starbucks?) for just a few minutes to check the K-30 out. E.g., somewhere between San Carlos and San Jose. Maybe a free coffee could be used to entice you....

Welcome to the forum Bob, I'm a bit biased and would say go the K-5 because I love them but why not ask your question in the K-30 section of the forum to get the answers you need.
