Hi from Montreal

Hello all,
I am new to photograghy yet quite stoked about it. After burrowing my buddy's T3i for a bit I got hooked, it was so fun to finally be able to take pics with some depth and art to them. But I thought the T3i although more powerful than any camera I had ever used, felt flimsy and toyish . After a lot of research I figured pentax would be more my style, rugged, no nonsense little workhorses, and they seem to have the best price per spec...Then again what do I know. Photograghy seems to be a bit about buying into a system and pentax seems more affordable in the long run.
So now I am hunting down a setup, I believe that the dated yet proven k10d or k20d with a short focal prime lens would be a great kit to start out with. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, The K20D is a good Digital SLR which won't disappoint you.
