Pentax 5

I am here to find out why my K5 picture won,t go on my computer?

1. Just connect with USB cable to computer's USB and turn on the camera. It should appear as "Removable device"
2. Pull out SD card and put it inside card reader on yours laptop/computer. . It should appear as "Removable device" also

hmm interesting. For me is on W7 working very well (no need to install drivers ...). Can you try it on another computer?

I think this thread is in the wrong place.

Make sure that USB port (and cable) actually works. I've had computers with USB ports which only provided power, no data. Some are built pretty cheap these days.

Also try plugging it in while the camera is powered on, and turning the camera on while it's connected (camera off, plug in, turn on). The Windows 7 should recognize it without problem.

It is simply an indicator that the camera is plugged into a computer.

Do you see the camera as a removable drive in Windows Explorer? If the computer recognizes the device you should be able to open the memory card's folder and manage that data.
