The garage was built by my Cousin and her husband, He is a retired mechanical engineer, car collector and history enthusiast. The building was built in the style of a 1930-40s public garage and he calls it the "Cito Garage", after a real garage that existed nearby and was operated by my Cousins grandfather. The old cars, signs and flags all are from his collection and fit the theme of a 1930-40s garage. The photo I have in this contest was just one of several taken as part of a project I dreamed up because I liked how the Neon Dodge sign looked lit up at night, (linked here)

One day they contacted me and said hey the company we bought the building from is having a photo contest, and we should enter one of your photos of the building. First prize is $500 and I would split it with them as they added the required narrative and own the building, also the photo is featured on the yearly calendar. I had hoped it would be juried, but as it ends up the winner will be chosen by internet votes, so as I said a popularity contest. As a Pentax user/addict the Pentaxforums is my system support group, and here I am hat in hand asking for help with winning. I expect the odds of one of the other nine finalists being a Pentaxian and member here are very slim, So I am facing a Canikon user and that support group Army, so hey I'm the underdog! There you have it, my what, the who and why, are for good measure.
