I'm new to DSLR having been a long time "rugged" point and shoot user (Optio WG-1) since most of my photos are taken off roading or fishing. A few of my buddies shoot DSLR on the trail and their pictures always have so much more depth and quality, but I've always been worried about water and dust. Then a little while ago I saw an article on Gizmodo with Heie's video of his K-5 and K-7, which pretty much convinced me to go buy a Pentax DSLR. After debating between the K-5 and K-30 I finally ended up getting the K-30 with the 18-135 kit lens. So far after a month of use I'm pretty happy with it. I've been lurking around here for a bit soaking up lots of info and can't wait to learn more.
