Greetings from Washington state
I am thinking about jumping into the Pentax world, coming from a Canon. I shoot mostly landscape and trying out more low light photography. If anyone is in the Tacoma area, I would enjoy getting together to get some pictures. If you see a red Goldwing sidecar rig riding around, that might me me.
At the present I use a Canon 5D Mark 1 (full frame) and really like the creamy smooth photos it produces.. The problem I have with the Canon is the the poor light focus ability with the 5D. What I would like is new 5D Mark II, but that is way out of my price range.
I could go with the Canon 7D crop sensor and keep my current lens line up, but all the reading I have done indicates the Pentax K-5 is a better camera. I am only waiting for some more test of the Pentax K-30 and the K-5 II. Even though the K-5 II costs a little more, I am thinking about going that route. It means I have to start selling my Canon stuff.
