New member from Singapore

Hi guys,

New member from Singapore, bought a K-30 recently after procrastinating for quite a while, still on the learning and employing proper techniques of pictures taking.

Current lens setup include:
M50mm f1.7
DFA WR 100mm f2.8
DA WR 18-135mm
DA 15mm Limited
DA 40mm XS

Still trying to find my feet around the lenses so hopefully more good things to come.

Thanks ... what lens (or lens) did you use? I have a D FA 100 WR & a M 50/1.7 ... Like both of them a lot & the 100 is just stellar at times ... J

For the pictures above,

I used a combination of Pentax M 50mm 1.7, DFA 100mm WR, DA 40XS(Current favourite cat portraitures) and the 18-135mm.

Hi Yasuo I'd love to hear how you're making out with that K-30, your setup is pretty much what I was hoping to buy myself. Since we're both in Singapore we should be able to compare notes quite effectively!

Hi Yasuo, would you be interested in a photo walk for World Pentax Day here in Singapore -- 24th February, let me know?

Hi Pewter, thanks for the welcome, and I am so sorry for not replying the other time you asked about K30!

The K30 is a good camera, though I wouldn't say its extremely good at low light settings since I tried to take a few festival shoots at night and most turn out blurred even after fiddling around with settings.

I can't confirm with you on the outing as I have been quite busy recently but I will definitely keep watch on it.

Thanks =D

Most camera will be very challenged for night shots. What have you tried since then to solve this issue you're facing with night shots?

About the WPD outing -- if you like, private-message me your email and I will send you more information soon what I am planning and you can better decide if that would work for you?
