Glad to be back with Pentax

I started way back when with a K-1000, SF1n, MZ then went off track in digital. Just purchased a K10d to use with old glass.

Glad to be back.

Welcome! Welcome back. I'm returning after a long hiatus from photography (film to digital).

Nice group here - you'll like them.

Welcome to the forum and welcome back! Some trully fantastic older lenses are out there, and K10D seem to like them rather well

Regards,

Thanks for the welcome.

I now have a major chore ahead of me. Perusing the manual will take a while it looks like. From a quick scan, it looks like it is well written as compared to the techie one's from other manufacturers.

IS is a god-sent option as I'm no longer steady as a rock.

I do need to look into what is available to magnify the eye view. Anyone use the digital preview routinely?

SMILES,
RON C

I just bought the Pentax OM-53 1.2x magnifier. I just got it last night, and have not had a chance to shoot with it yet. I'll report when I do.

I use the digital preview quite frequently for set shots like landscapes. I find it invaluable for checking exposure, WB, focus, and composition - before actually taking the shot. For street shooting, I revert to optical DOF preview.

Cheers and welcome aboard.

Alan,

Thanks. I'll be waiting to hear. 1.2 doesn't seem like much.

Have to play with digital preview to see how I can use it.
