I just bought my first DSLR tonight from Dodd Camera in Cleveland. They were having a winter show with a lot of vendors/ company people. I've been looking at getting a DSLR since we went on vacation back in Sept. I had narrowed it down to either a Nikon D7000; couldn't really afford it, or the Pentax K30. After getting to the show and talking to the dealer rep and seeing the deal offered; $100 instant rebate, $100 mail in rebate and $100 of the pentax 50-200 WR, I had to buy it. Now starts the long process of learning how to use this camera. I wish there were some books out there on the K30, but I guess there aren't yet. So for now it's just read the manual and experiment a lot.
