New From British Columbia

After many years of using film, point and shoot, bridge, 4/3's, I have finally graduated! I just received my first DSLR as an early Christmas gift. I researched for weeks before choosing the Pentax K30 and I am getting introduced to it daily.
I will post an important question tho, in the K30 forum. Great to meet everyone and if anyone knows of a photo group in the Merritt, BC area, please feel free to contact me here. Enjoy Life!

Welcome fellow BC'er

Welcome, I am fellow BC resident living in the Kootenays, and have just joined the forum. I also picked up the K30 as my first DSLR. Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi, Nice to meet you. Are you still using the K30? Do you have an online photo gallery? We were in the Kootenays around Castlegar during June this year. Beautiful country, now in the Nicola Valley.

Just Starting

I am just starting out, only received my K30 2 days ago, still playing with it getting familiar with the controls and settings. Haven't taken any proper shots yet so no album. I live on Kootenay lake lots of beautiful scenery but better in Spring, Summer, and Fall.
