Hi!

I started with a K-1000 back in the '70s which I still have. I've been taking mostly landscapes ever since. I'm a retired librarian and I live near Silver City, New Mexico, USA. I happened on this site by accident; I was searching for a way to find the shutter count on my K5 (Silver, Special Edition). It seems all I have to do is upload a picture to this site, which I'm about to do. I wish I had known about this site sooner; I've bought tons of stuff from B&H and Adorama over the years. In fact, I wanted to ask somebody why B&H doesn't advertise ANY Pentax DSLRs in the print magazines "Popular Photography" or "Outdoor Photography" anymore? But maybe there is a thread about this, I haven't looked yet. This was just supposed to be my introduction! So thank you!

Retailers don't advertise their Pentax inventory because it represents a negligible part of their sales. That's the unfortunately reality. However, the success of the recent Black Friday sale has given rise to a number of great Pentax deals that I've worked with B&H to score, such as the Sigma 30mm F1.4 for $349 last week, or the Rokinon 85mm F1.4 for $239:

On top of this, most Pentax lens prices (in cart) have been dropped to in-store pricing, as sales virtually came to a standstill at full MSRP.
