Hi everyone. My name is Steve. I live in eastern Virginia and used a K1000 for many years. I actually still own it, but it has been unused for several years. I just recently purchased my first DSLR - a K30, and couldn't be happier. I am an avid outdoorsman, and therefore I tend to shoot landscapes and nature scenes and I wanted a camera that could handle the elements. After all my researching, I felt the K30 would be my best choice. Will be shopping for a macro lens before long. I am leaning towards the Tamron 90mm f2.8.

Welcome to the forum Steve, good to have you join us.When looking at a macro lens it may pay to check out the Sigma 105mm F2.8 DC Macro as they are razor sharp.
