Ist Day with my K30

Hello All
First day with my new camera, Had a digital fuji fine pix for the last 10 years, prior to that I had a Pentax SLR, back in the days of film. I am hoping this will be an easy transition. I enjoy outside photography but also will be using it for photographing jewelry for our website. Has anybody connected their camera directly to their computer. I am looking to shoot my jewelry & have it go direct to my computer, for use in photoshop. I am not sure how to go about it. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Thank you

Welcome to the forum Doug, if you go to the K30 section of the forum and ask your questions there I'm sure you'll get the answers you require. To get the best results from photographing jewellery it would be advisable to have the following items: Light Box (you can make one yourself cheaply) a good Macro lens (which also doubles up as a good portrait lens) and a good sturdy tripod. Instead of hooking your camera up to your PC by cables (you'll be using up the camera's battery power) why not buy a multi memory SD card reader as it is faster and more efficient. Wouldn't be without mine.
