There are a lot of bored photographers in this thread. It must be raining/snowing/foggy across most of the world this week.

Trouble is, "likes" aren't standard currency, and mean different things to different people.

But merely having them did serve to give me the impression that the slogan at the top "friendly Pentax camera forum" isn't just lip service...

I'm reminded of the old Sally Field acceptance speech years ago (you like me, you like me!!) but hesitated to mention it because probably half of the members would say "Sally who?"
Didn't Sally Field put on a big white hat which caused her to be able to fly?

We had a 20-cm snowfall in the past 24 hours. Not as severe as parts of New England. But, it is a beautiful sunny day today in Ottawa. In keeping with the theme of this thread: I like snow! That reminds me - time to post another snow picture on the mind-control thread (DA 15mm).

Well, when we are at that bit...I get you, brother..... I moved from a country where snow is measured in the metric equivalent to "feet" every winter for all winter....to Paris....where 1/4" is near a metropolitan disaster, especially if it lasts more than 24h.

I need snow and cold and shoveling driveways. My neighbors love me: when it does snow here, I get sufficiently enthusiastic to also shovel in front of their houses (remember, 1/4", not New England amounts).

Oh, right, a photo-forum....ahmm....

Plus, there's nothing more photogenic (and challenging) than <anything> in snow on a bright sunny day....

I live in the cascade mountain foothills, where a couple of feet overnight is not unknown. But 20 miles away in Portland 1/4" is indeed a metropolitan disaster, requiring full time 'emergency situation' TV news broadcasts, the obligatory 'live' report from the one hill in town where more than three snowflakes stuck, cancellation of school, work and who knows what else.

It is all in what you are used to, I suppose.

Having to spread the love is a common attribute of the like system.

I spent some time looking for Leo Carrillo and Red Norvo this morning. Couldn't find them. I left.
