Hello everyone, I am from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and am new to Pentax Forums and DSLR's. I have been debating for months now on which DSLR to get, the debate at first was between the Canon Rebel XTI and the Canon 30D. Looking on dpreview i came across an add for the Pentax K10D and that caught my eye right away. I further researched this camera and finally narrowed it down to the Canon 30D and Pentax K10D. Well I can now say that i am a proud soon to be owner of the K10D with 16-45 Lens. I have not been able to use this camera as it is a gift i will be recieveing in the near future, although i plan on learning, sharing and taking advice from all of you here on PentaxForums.

Welcome Carm! Both cameras you were looking at are great cameras, but it's nice to have you in the Pentax family!!!

there is a small but growing ontario population here

a few of us are within a couple of hours drive of T.O.

looking forward to some of your photos

BTW, I was seriously wanting the canon 30D but once I found this site, I was sold on the K10 as well.
boy, I am so glad I didn't get the 30D..... knowing now that a good lens with SR for the 30D is just a tad over an arm and a leg.

Hi Carmelo! Great to see more people from the GTA! I'm a K100D owner from Mississauga.

It may not available on the Canadian site (Pentax Canada) but you might want to go to the US site and download the manual. I've put a link below.
