Greeting from the military.
Greetings everyone,
I have a Nikon D7000 but I have a few Pentax manual focusing lens. I have the Takumar 50mm 1.4, 135mm 2.5, 135mm 3.5 preset, 200mm 5.6, and two 200mm 3.5 lens. My favorite out of all of them is the 135 2.5. I really like the smooth focusing and the colors. I'm still trying to figure out the the two 200 3.5 lens as they are giving me problems so far, maybe due to the Nikon body.
A little about myself:
I'm a airman in the Air Force working as a jet engine mechanic. I worked on the C-130's in Japan for two years. Those two years have produced some of the best times of my life. I also helped during the 2010 earthquake that hit Japan. That event taught me a lot about with it is that we do. Now I'm finishing up my last year in Korea before heading back home. I started photography in my last year in Japan. The main reason I went manual was because I couldn't afford all the new Nikon lens with the little money that I make. My first manual lens wan't a pentax but a Vivitar 70-210m 3.5 Kiron lens. Now I love manual lens. They force me to think outside the box when using them.
I hope to learn more from the members of this forum.
