California

I have been using this site for weeks now researching which Pentax camera is right for me and finally decided to join. I have yet to get a Pentax, but I already have a couple Pentax legacy lenses and I am really excited about IBIS and WS. I am leaning toward getting a k7 for the bright prism viewfinder and metal build, but am also interested in the k-x for its size and low light capabilities, although it doesn't have the weather sealing?

Anyway, I am interested in trying out these bodies, but I don't know anyone who has them. Anyone here live in Northern California that can meet up? or know of a store with discontinued Pentax? Maybe in San Francisco?

Right, the K-x isn't weather sealed because it's an intro-level body. It's also much cheaper (build quality wise) and lighter. The K-7 isn't the cream of the crop by modern standards in terms of image quality, but it's still pretty good, and certainly very capable. The K-x is a bit better in low light, but not by much I'd say.

See here for the specs comparison:

I also threw in the K-30, because if you can afford one of those, you'll get the best of both worlds: weather sealing and excellent IQ.
