newmikey, I think this is a great idea...although perhaps not quite covert. Frankly, I think Adam should have a front-page banner welcoming him home.

This bloke did THE BEST description of what the U.S. & its Allies is trying to achieve there.
He is obviously a pretty decent bloke & deserves the best upon his return.
Cheers, Pickles.

And a pop-up advert saying "Congrats on coming home!" with garish balloon gifs.

Welcome home!!! We are proud of you and thankful for your photojounalistic work. You are a credit to your uniform, our country, and your family. Thank you for standing the watch for all of us. Best wishes for your future efforts. Keep up the photojounalistic pursuits as a hobby, if not a future career. You have a knack for it.

God Bless!

Salut Heie,

Thank you for providing us with a glimpse of your deployment. Your updates were much appreciated and your photojournalism was exceptional. Thanks for teaching us about everyday life in that part of the world - not something we see regularly in the media.

And, as a bonus, we got to hear about the field-testing of your Pentax gear! Talk about rugged.

Welcome back. I enjoyed several of your sets.

Watch out for cars till you get used to being back in the world of texting while driving.

+1! Absolutely, this is an excellent idea.

I have viewed his threads, and they are done quite well. Very professional looking. It has the look of someone who is getting paid for the work, yet it is just a "hobby" for him. His immediate family, friends and community must be very proud of him.

Welcome back Heie! Welcome home.
