Welcome to all here. I am a long time reader and so thanks to all for the photos and information I have found on the forum. Mostly chasing insects lately and hope to find some bargains in the marketplace.

Not a bad shot at all. He/she stay still long enough for you the looks. Welcome to the forum, you will find quite a few Aussies here and many from Qld. Get involved they are a friendly bunch and very helpful. Some of the best on the web.

Hi there from down in Adelaide. You're spoiled for bugs up your way, which is great if you like macro photography, not so good if bugs freak you out!

Thanks Trev,

This was on the Bloomfield track in the Daintree. Early morning in the rainforest the dragonflies are a bit slow and sit still if you are lucky. K7 with Voigtlander SL125/2.5 at F7 1/320s ISO400.
