It's only a slight nutering of the aperture leaver. I did it to my A 50mm f1:1.2. How else am I supposed to enjoy this lens on the format it was designed for?

I even think we should all send the snipped aperture leavers to Pentax HQ. With a picture of the lenses that are going to be next if they don't hurry their FF up a bit.

Hello and welcome Michael! It's rare to read about someone not using a Pentax body here, you'll have an interesting take on things.

How well does the chip image stabilization work, anyway?
Pretty well. Before using Pentax I had a Canon S2 bridge, and SR is at least as effective as the Is in the S2. The great benefit is that every lens becomes stabilized. The S2 actually is one of the things which convinced me to go with Pentax.

I have successfully shot 1/40s @ 300mm handheld...

How about 0.3s @ 40mm handheld...

Btw how come Pentax doesnt have any fullframe options? I do plan to get a FF camera in the future. Ofc. I could get a used film pentax
FF is coming, though it might be 2014...expectations are for a new prosumer APS-C in the spring. Getting a film Pentax might be dangerous, it could turn your LBA into full CBA.

To those long exposure examples, I think the right word is... WTF! Lens IS isn't anywhere near that efficient...
That would be very handy for low light photography as well (which I do most).
