Battery Charger D-bc50 on the Fritz???

I viewed this issue in a prior post, 2010, but there were no responses or comments. The battery charger D-bc50 (Battery D-L150) is supposed to show a red light while charging and the light turns off when the battery is fully charged. My D-bc50 indicates a red light for less than a minute and then starts and remains blinking. The battery is not hot to the touch nor is the charger. Is the charger not working properly, the battery no longer accepting a charge or what? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.

Welcome to PF and bonjour from France ... enjoy the forum ... I am not very knowledgeable here, but I would guess that it is the battery problem first before the charger ... good luck and please post us an image or two soon ... Salut, J

Welcome aboard, do you have or can gain access to another battery, this would help you to isolate where the fault lies.

A battery from 2010 is probably due for replacement now anyway.
