Hello,
New to DSLR - I purchased the Pentax K-01 with DA 40mm lens. I'm using my old Chinon CP-7m lenses with the K-01. They are an Exakata 35-70mm MC, a Chinon 70-210mm Auto KR, and a 500mm Mirror Lens (i believe it to be a Chinon lens it doesn't say Chinon but the No. 9307725 is number as the Chinon 70-210mm). I haven't used that setup for almost 30 years. I is so cool to be able to use those lenses and filters in a modern digital camera. I have all ready figure out how to the the 35-70mm to work with the K-01 thanks to this forum. And the other two lenses work in Auto mode. I'm very impressed with the K-01, but what do I know I've been using point and shoot cameras for years. One thing I keep finding myself doing is pulling the camera up to my eye then I realize it doesn't have a view finder LOL. I need to get a bigger and faster memory card - I have a grandbaby that's taking her first steps so I don't want to miss any shots. Also, want to get a gear bag, tripod, and remote trigger.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to learning all over again how to take pictures with a D-SLR - I have to read up on all the terms again focal length, aperture and sensitivity etc.
P.S. I attached my first photo with the 35-70mm lens. Not bad for an old lens and old guy.
