Hello everybody! I've been a lurker for some time now, but decided to join the party.

As someone who has always been fascinated with the art of photography and after having a point and shoot my whole life I decided to it was time to expand my knowledge and understanding and see what I could create by purchasing a my first dslr (a cheap pentax ist d off Craigslist

). Now I'm on the hunt for an upgrade and after much research I've decided on Pentax! I'd be lying if said this forum a help in making that decision.

I look forward to showing off some pictures in the future

Welcome... if there's one camera I wish I had back it would be my *ist. Especially since the ex has it, that and a couple of nice MF lenses. She just took them so I couldn't have them. That makes it even worse,
