Hey all. Just found the forums. Picked up my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic, in 1976 and instantly became an "Evil picture guy" among family and friends. I shot everybody and everything. Then, in 1984 I picked up my first K-1000. This was my introduction to true photography. They made us take the battery out for yearbook photography class and I had to learn to meter and started paying more attention to lighting and shadows. I finally joined the ranks of the DSLR family in 2010 with the K-2000 and have gotten lazy. Don't know if I could still manually meter the K-1000 anymore.
I Love shooting just about anything and everything. Have done some portraits for family and friends, weddings, candids for organizations, nature, pets and animals, babies and baby bellies, etc... Just recently purchased a lighting and background kit and have started doing some green screen work. I am what you might call a professional hobbyist.
Personal favorite is nature photography, though.
I am the father of 3, (ages 4, 6 and 10) and have been married to the same wonderful woman for the last 19 years. Working as a cashier but trying to become an ordained minister. Have a degree in theology and a long history with the military, medical and retail fields.
I look forward to meeting everybody and sharing ideas. Love looking at pics from around the world and seeing the differences in people, places and especially nature.
Y'all can call me Brice or Al.
