Spotmatic in Seattle

Hello!

I’m new to the forum, have one Pentax, a Spotmatic II bought in 1997 to replace same model acquired in 1979. Also I’ve been collecting the wonderful Takumar lenses over the years. Historically I’ve shot mostly color slides but recently have been getting back to black & white. Most of my photography has been landscape but also interested in maco. With this camera I just use a reverse-mount adapter ring, very low-tech but works great.

Look forward to exploring this site and seeing everyone’s work!

You have a classic camera, and I'm pleased to see such beauties in use. There are many film lovers here although they are the minority. Slides are lovely records.

Agreed, great to see a classic in use. My first camera was a Spotmatic, and I'm looking for one now. Welcome to the Forum!

I (perhaps wrongly) assumed you were a Seattlite. Yeah, they do good work, but if you have a place local to you, that's the way to go.

Yes, I’m in Seattle. I’ve been dealing with North Coast Photo by mail and they’ve always done a good job. Very fast too. I’ve also heard good things about Moon Photo here in Seattle.

Try Panda Labs at least once. It's a nice place. Just off of Mercer Street near Seattle Center.
