Hello From Ireland

I've been here five weeks, have just topped 100 posts and am already a Senior Member -- go me! I try to give back as much as I get in helpful advice, beautiful images and good craic.

I like architecture shots but might do some landscapes to convey the beauty of Ireland. personally I prefer shots of graffiti.

I'm not so good with people since I have never got the hang of asking permission or handing out model releases.

I prefer available light but want to get a diffuser for the built-in flash, just to add some fill lighting. I work with a K100D Super, the bargain camera of all time, and have only the kit lens for now... but that is changing soon!

Welcome. I am looking forward to photos of your beautiful country. Some day I hope to be fortunate enough to visit and take my own photos.

It's changed already.

Just bought the 16-45mm and will now count the days until I get it!

My wife has visited your beautiful country (we have an Irish dog -- Glen of Imaal Terrier) last year and maybe in a few year she will come again ... dragging me behind

The 16-45mm is a good choice. I like it a lot, it is a nice all around lens, just perfect on hiking/backpacking tours etc.
