Greetings From Okinawa Japan

Hello Everyone,
Recently joined and keep getting "It appears you haven't posted on the forum yet!" So, a quick intro should clear that up. Pentax cameras are built for what I do. That's a lot of roughing it outdoors in the humid and, often wet climate we have in the Ryukyu Islands. Much of my time involves shooting, processing, research and online writing. I'll drop by here and hope to gain and give information to the crowd whenever possible.

Cheers,
Mike

Welcome to the forum, Ryukyu Islands, I must admit that's a region of the world I know little about, I look forward to seeing your images.

What is it you're researching into?

Thanks, for the welcomes, everyone. Kerrowdown, I shoot as many critters, in the wild, as I can find. Bugs, butterflies, lizards and birds, mostly. I enjoy going after the rare or, endangered species. Loading them up to educational sites, even Wikipedia, you can't make any mistakes with the Latin names. Some scientist will eat you alive so, I spend hours trying to get accurate ID's on the critters. It's a blast, when you succeed. Other than that, much of what I call research, is spent on getting the cultural and historical details on off the wall sights to write travel articles.
