Hey all,

I'd just like to introduce myself. I'm a beginner to DSLR photography. I own a used k-x model and I am about to buy my first non-kit lens! I just the forums for that very purpose- to learn about the different types of lenses.

I hope to increase the knowledge I have of Pentax cameras and equipment. Right now I feel alone around my friends because they all own the mainstream brands of DSLRs

Welcome aboard, rizitodorito! You do not have to be a sheep like the others... get what suits you. I personally love Pentax: enough to choose to use them professionally even with their slightly smaller market presence. I think you will find that you are far from alone in your love for Pentax. You are part of a tight community now!
