Hi-from a Newbie

i have a K20D .But have not used it much-it's a bit heavy for backpacking.!
I would like to start building up some nice primes, however can't spend much money.
Hope to improve my skills and equipment. Appreciate suggestions.

Hello and welcome to the forums, Nanem! If you like backpacking, Pentax is perfect because they pack a lot more punch than other cameras in their size. Over time you will gain some beautiful, compact primes and really be in heaven. Pentax system is really enjoyable to shoot. Again, welcome aboard and we can't wait to hear more from you!

Welcome and hope you enjoy it here. Consider the DA 35/2.4, 50/1.8, 40 XS for your needs, each being cheap and lightweight.

Welcome to the forum, if you don't mind manual focussing, have a look at some of the older Pentax legacy glass.

Hi- thanks for the welcome.
Some of the suggestions for lenses look interesting. And i haven't even thought about manual focus lenses.
Where can one find the older "legacy" lenses? Oh, and you guys are sure all over the world!
