New Q User

Hi,

Just bought a Q with both the 01 prime and 02 zoom lenses.
Found the forum to research should I buy the 06 Telephoto or a K to Q converter and other lenses.

Welcome - I have 2 x Q, K>Q Adapter, 01 +02.

They're a whole heck of a lot of fun. I travel with one and an Olympus XA.

Check out the sticky threads at the top of the Q sub forum for lots of Q info.

If you have K lenses already the adapter makes for fun combinations.

The 06 on the other hand produces great results.

Spending way too much time here

Again, thanks to you who welcomed me to the forum.

I've been spending a lot of time here, mostly on the Q sub-forum and have already ordered a couple of additional batteries along with lens hoods, etc.
I have already listed my Sony Alpha A200 with lenses on eBay as now that I have the Q I don't see me using it. Will use the proceeds to get either an 06 telephoto or a K to Q converter and a DA L 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED or maybe both.

The 03 Fisheye lens is alot of fun as well. And small! You have to adjust to doing manual focus but the large depth of field makes it easier than it sounds.

I just received the 06 lens but haven't had much time to play around with it.

Some other options which I have also acquired:

I'd be interested in what you think of the 06 lens. I have already ordered the lens hoods and I have a wrist strap.
Will most likely get the tripod when I sell my current Sony kit.

It seems like the general consensus is that the 06 lens is outstanding, and judging from the pics I've seen I agree.

After reading as many posts here as I could over the past week, I finally bit the bullet and ordered an 06 from Adorama.
