Hello from snowy Russia :)

Hello to everyone on this forum.

My name is Ilya. I am from Moscow, Russia. It is almost April but we still get heavy snow here ("the winter is coming"). And finally I have decided to register here after reading posts and reviews for several years .

I have started to photograph about 10 years ago using film cameras. My first film camera was Zenit, then I went to Canon 300V with kit lenses. But 5 years ago I have decided to choose Pentax as my primary system (mostly due to how it renders colors).
So I went with K10D. The great camera. And I think one of the best Pentax digital bodies. Plus CCD really rules. So then I have bought few Pentax film bodies ME Super (with manual M50/1.4 looks really cool and the large viewfinder is also great) and MZ-6 (light street camera).
So the lenses I have: K28/3.5, FA35/2, M50/1.4, Voigtlander 90/3.5, A135/2.8.

Additionally I want to thank all the "old" members of this forum for posting reviews/comments on lenses and equipment. As they helped me to choose my gear.

Here is the link to my Flickr page (which I have made not long time ago). Not all good photos can be found there. But still there is something

Welcome to the forum, you obviously enjoyed Rome, it's one of my favourite European cities.

Do you have any other images of amazing Moscow, I never realised there were so many modern high rise buildings, there's a city that not many of us get to see, so your local knowledge would be interesting.

Yes, Kerrordown, Rome is the city I loved from the first sight. Actually I did not have more time to enjoy it. Anyway I am going to visit Rome once more.

The photos of Moscow on the Flickr page (actually winter shots) were taken this winter. It was about -20C that day. This is Moscow city - a new section of skyscrapers where mostly offices are present. So this is kind a new type of buildings in Moscow. As mostly we have 5-9-12 floors buildings and from the beginning of 90s they have started to build 20-24 floors buildings. So that is why now Moscow is overcrowded. The density of people is one of the highest in the world.
What is the real problem that they (the developers) are ruining old building which are the heart and history of Moscow.

I will try to find more pictures of Moscow and post them here.

Please ask if you need more info
