Newbie from Hawaii

Hi,

I also just got a K-30 as a totally unexpected gift from a friend. I just treated myself to a used lens for it from the Marketplace too. Learning to use the camera is a steep learning curve having just come from a point&shoot by another company, but I know it will get easier once I get lots of shots under my belt, so to speak.

Nancy

Aloha and welcome!

Although the camera has some point and shoot properties, it is capable of far far more. Enjoy!

Thanks to both of you. I plan on learning how to use it in Manual. I never used the P&S in Auto (only in AV) but now I want to learn to control everything.

I'll let my friend know. Maybe she'd like to visit Scotland!

Telling everyone you are from Hawaii means its an open invite to couch surf when we come visit. Sorry. Forum rules.

Welcome and Aloha.

Mahalo, Alamo. Too bad--my couch is way too small to comfortably couch surf on. Sorry!!
