Hello from Alaska-New Q owner here ...

Good day,
I'm a new Pentax Q owner here. I recently purchased from Costco-they were on sale. I've always enjoyed taking scenery pictures of my hikes here in Alaska. I hope to learn from the forums and if anything is worthy of posting I'll do that.

Oh, did you get a white one to match the snow? At least my looks awesome in winter weather here!

I got the white one ... So far I like the camera and its a huge jump from my old panasonic lumix.

Have you upgraded the firmware? The AF is significantly improved with version 1.11.

I've downloaded the update but haven't loaded it just yet. I've read good reviews about the upgrade

Welcome to the forum, the Q would save space and be less weight when your out hiking about, good choice.
