Hello from Queensland Australia

Hello all pentaxians,
I have just joined the forum.I am in my late seventies and a retired Grazier (read "Rancher" for northern hemisphere people).
I have a Pentax K7 with the 18/55 wr kit lense,a smc Pentax DA 55/300,a Pentax DA 40 by 2.8 prime and a Sigma 150/500.
I also have an old asahi 50mm manual lense.
And I confess to owning a Sony RX100 and a Sony Dsc Hv 30.These cameras I can fit into my shirt pockets.I was once told that the best camera is the one you have with
you. They have their uses but i like my K7 better,Maybe I can work towards a K5 11s in the future.
Most of my shots are landscapes and travel pics and family photod.
Cheers,
Robert

Welcome to the forum. There are bunch of active Aussies at PF. eaglem is one of them, posting in particular some very nice photographs.

Feel free to use the forum to post your shots at Post your photos! - PentaxForums.com. You will get some useful feedback.

Welcome to the forum, at least now you've got the time to do some photography.

You'll find they're one or two other Aussies around the place already, so you shouldn't feel homesick.

Welcome, Robert.

I have visited Australia a number of times on business. Hope to be able to bring my Pentax dSLR kit next time, although my trusty little Canon SD880 might get packed instead (I try to travel lightly).

And glad to learn a new word - 'grazier.'

Aaahh right, when I went to School, I had a friend whose parents had a property out at Roma.
