Old Pentax user New Member

Hello,
I'm Bob, a new member to the Pentax forum...
I have been a Pentax film camera user since the late 1970s when I scored big on a camera deal that included a brass body KX and a K-1000, five lenses from 28 mm to 500 mm... and various other accessories... all packaged in a hge camera bag. I was burning B/W film and doing my own processing.

I moved into digital photography when was given a Kodak 2.5mp, point and shoot in 2000. Then I got an Olympus 5.1mp point and shoot in the 2003.
From there I got very lazy with the convienience of digital to computer and when through a few Sony digitals as the technology became more available (and less expensive) After the 16mp ccd started showing up I found an incredible deal on a Pentax Optio (still a point and shoot) with tremendous resoloution... but still a point and shoot...

All of that untill a few days ago when I was trolling the local Pawn shop and there was a Pentax k-2000 (K-m) on the shelf... I used all the negotiating technique I have and picked up the K-m 10.2 mp camera w/ 18-50mm lens for a song...

I managed to finds a nice 50-200mm DA lens on Ebay and now, wiith merging some of the older stuff in my bag, I have a pretty nice starter setup again...

I hope I can transition my film experiances and share what I know from that here and pick up some new knowledge about using my new digital SLR too...
