New from OKC metro

Hello, My name is Josh and I just got started in my journey to do some real photography! I mostly shoot architecture because that is what I plan on going into. I don't have a Pentax yet but I am saving up to get a K-01 because I really like the features and the knock out price. I got my first SLR about a month ago, a very minty Ricoh kr-5 super II with the Pentax K mount. I am starting to look around for old Pentax glass that I can mount up to my Ricoh and eventually my k-01. I'm glad I found this forum because it seems to be a great site, and even though I am new to the photography game I already have a strong sway towards Pentax products!

I included some pictures of my Ricoh if anyone wanted to see it! It only has one scrape on the film door other than that is is mint. I hope to have my K-01 soon I can't wait!!

Welcome to the forums, you'll need to invest in a good tripod then, it will improve you architectural photography beyond all belief.

Thanks for the responses, I actually had a great aluminium tripod given to me by a co-worker for free! It looks to be in great shape and is well built.

I am a Razorback because I was born and raised in Arkansas. I will be going to OU so I may root for the Sooner's in some fashion.

Ah, so if you want to earn money the easy way, buy some student season football tickets and then sell them. You will make more than enough to pay back the initial cost of the tickets plus enough to get k-01. OU-Texas tickets sell for crazy high! Same for OU-OSU.

I just graduated from OU (BS Meteorology, MS Civil Engineering). A good school and campus is really pretty. Norman is a nice town. What is your major?

I will be going into Architecture, I just moved to the Oklahoma Air Guard and changed jobs from jet engine mechanic to Engineer (civil engineering). So I am waiting to attend school for that and when I get back I will have a few courses to knock out at Rose State and then I will head to OU.
